Julie called last night to tell us she was engaged. We both saw it on Facebook but she really wanted to tell my wife. The fiancee was headed out that night on a business trip and she wanted to go out and celebrate. So I became designated driver. Bar talk was the typical "what's been going on over the past 2 months". Sort of weird since everyone sees everything on Facebook these days. At some point it turns to our old jobs (we all used to work together). Then we get to the stories. Blah blah blah. My wife kept giggling, which made Julie giggle, and the cycle would just repeat. No one slurred words, so I was hoping the hangover would be mild. Like I said both women were pretty blitzed. My wife was asleep within minutes. Julie giggled a bit more, looked back at my wife, then put her hand on my lap.
