Take Motherless to the next level: it'd be great if you could update the Video Player with a SBS (side-by-side) button for people with cheap VR headsets (seriously, you can get a basic Google Cardboard viewer for $35). All you need to do is play the same video side-by-side in the one player. Just about all VR side-by-side are square videos, so you could simply crop the sides of the video off.

To really make it awesome, only appear to crop the sides of the video, but when the player detects gyro movement left, pan the left cropped area into view - same for right. If you zoomed in the video a bit too you'll get up-down-left-right movement for a great illusion of true VR.

If motherless did this, it'd enable every video on the site to be VR-friendly - your popularity will go through the roof! No-one else is doing this, and it doesn't seem too technically hard at all.

Its not true VR. Those are videos shot from slightly different angles. There's 3 or 4 on here and I wish there were more.

Indeed not true VR, but it'd still be a major step up from a video on your monitor.

So, motherless uses the JWPlayer, and JW are developing VR including side-by-side. All Motherless has to do is submit a feature request. I have, but a feature request from a paying customer will carry more weight!
