Awkward question, about a mental illness that would make someone think incest is OK?
We're not weird inbred country people, my parents are from Puerto Rico and we live in the Bronx. My mom is a sexual therapist, which is awkward but she's cool about it. She's always been a great mom and you'd think she was totally cool, sane, rational and fun to be around if you just met her.
But she's psycho. Her second husband left her last year and she went f*ckin' NUTS. I'm seventeen almost eighteen, and she started by asking if my friends think she's hot. Then she started asking if I think she's hot. She got really touchy feely and huggy kissy and calling me things like "sexy" which weirds me out. I know she misses her first husband, my dad. a lot; but she does this thing recently where she creepily stares at me and tells me how much i look like him at this age. She's even called me his name by mistake. She's like that with my brother too but not as badly because he's 22 and has a fiance and a baby on the way.
Then a couple months ago she came up with this crazy idea that he thinks is like totally revolutionary and great, about how you teach your sons how to tie their shoes and go in the toilet and ride a bike, so you should also teach them about how to have sex. And she talks about how when you're a baby you come out of the vagina and suck on her boobs so this implies that it's SUPPOSED to be a sexual relationship. She really thinks it's something great she could write a book on and change the world......No.
Very odd, I know, completely f*cking psycho. Luckily, I have a big social life, play a lot of sports, lotsa friends etc, so I'm able to just laugh about this kookiness and my friends think it's funny. But it doesn't change the fact that she creeps on me at home and I'm trying to come up with a good way of explaining why you're not freaking supposed to smash your own children. I feel like a baby complaining about this, I mean it's not like I'm a little girl, I'm almost an adult and she's like this tiny little 5'1 115lb woman, so I'm not scared or anything but it is really gross and creepy that she tries to get with me.
So I guess I just don't understand why she is being like this. Is there a name for it? Like a mental illness? And what should you do to make her stop or get her help? I'm going to college soon so I don't care that much
