Anyone been to (or even heard from a reliable source about) a REAL slave auction? When? Where? Prices? What happened and how was it run?

I only know what I read about in the news. There always seems to be some kind of article about human trafficking after every major natural disaster. I read an article about after the earthquake in Haiti how you could buy a slave with papers to bring back to the states for a few hundred bucks to a few thousand. Seems the locals are down with making a quick dollar with no regards to their own women or children. Read a similiar article after that typhoon that hit southeast Asia a few years back.
