i confess, that i'm a bit confused.

i'm used to buy my groceries from a local vietnamese supermarket and there are two cute cashiers, that both act a little weird with me. i know, they are so-called natural-born chinese (both have been living in US about 3-4 years) and probably also live in chinese community because their english isn't very good (most workers in that store don't speak a word in english but cashiers do...at least a little), so as a traditional chinese women, they should be quite modest and reserved because in their culture it's not usual for women to start chatting with strange men. but they do and i haven't noticed them chatting with other white customers, at least not while i'm visiting the store.

anyways, one of them tends to play with my kid (4y) each time we check out with her. she also chats with me and i know some personal things about her. she knows, i'm married and all and so she only chats while i'm alone or with son.

the other on is usually in liquor counter, where people only buy liquor or pay for very small amount of goods. she usually calls me to her counter to pay if she sees me going for check-out. that's how it happened the first time. at the first time she called me to her counter, i was alone and she started chatting, told me, that my son is very cute (or "beautyful" as she said) and my wife is very beautyful. i thanked her and told, that she's also very cute (and it's actually very true although the other chick is a little more cute). now she always calls me to her counter and as much as she speaks engrish, we have chatted a little. i know her name and nationality and some other things. of course about the other chick too, she's much better in engrish, but she still seems to be a little more shy with me, so she doesn't speak too much.

well, they know, i have a wife but...i think, we're going to divorce soon and i would really like to consider taking a chinese wife. i'm just not sure about those two. do they like me or is it just chit-chat? as i told already, they should be quite reserved by tradition and i don't think, that 3-4 years in america have changed them so much. so, if anybody knows something about how chinese chicks in america hit on men, i'm waiting for an advice.

hehe...and in riteaid just next to vietnam store is a pretty cute mexican chick, who also keeps chatting too much. for example: without any reason she apologizes for not being at work on weekend, cause she was visiting her mom in mexico and keeps asking about the goods i buy and why i prefer those specific brands etc.

i moved to states from europe just 6 months ago and i already love this country:D

What's up with your fascination with ethnicity? They can't just be attractive women? I think you should stick to your own ethnic pool: moron.

Problem with your story.

Asians do not mix EVER. If you were in a Viet store the girls will be Viet not Chinese, Korean, Thai..... Especially not Chinese because the Viet's hate Chinese because of the war.

Try a new story. OK?

yes, these two chicks ARE chinese. and this IS a vietnam store. if they are vietnamese, they have no reason to lie themselves to be chinese.

Meh.. the submissiveness of Asian women is a myth from years past, as is the fact they only tend to stay within their own ethnic circle. My advice is just be more friendly and see where it goes. It's the same, basically of dealing with any woman... feeling them out and seeing where it goes. The fact they may be Chinese working in a Vietnamese grocery could be a sign they are more open about things and willing, but here is one warning.
Asians do tend to look at things like bettering themselves economically via marriage. This may be why they are showing interest in you. Another aspect, family. Unless they have already broken with their family, or the family disagrees... you will be marrying them as well and they will expect favors and etc... Most of what w ebelieve about Asians and Chinese is outdated, or only among very traditional families... which is actually rare here since most you will meet are a few generations from immigration or Chinese already from outside China proper.. menaing Hong Kong, Taiwan, or other places where the Chinese settled (remember, many Asian nations had large Chinese families who became part of thos eupper and even lower classes, except Japan... and for millenia, japan wnate dto be what China was... which failed with their original invasion of Korea and them basically sealing themselve soff until opened my America in the 1800's. 9Other nations traded with them, but Perry's expedition is creditted with dragging them into modern times).
Now those asians who settle din discriminatory areas, are well to do, are mor elikely to stay within race and ethnicity because of discrimination or the fact their families will disown them if they marry outside the group... but since you have Chinese women working at a Vietnamese Grocers, I doubt that's a problem..just go with it and see what happens... good luck.
