Rate indeed. With regard to self-government, the biggest obstacle to beginning to think about it is that people are under the delusion that they already have it.

I think the only way for this process to happen would be a collapse of our society as a whole. The only way to bring about this kind of change would be all people being on a level ground. No wealth divide amongst all. Then no one would be able to control the masses with a monetary hand.

No socialism would still have a higher up that controls the population. I would like to see a world with zero government. Let folks do business with one another and govern their own land.

I think you're right on this point Chris. There's no chance for real change in the Western world without a real crisis in the present regime. Such a crisis is not outside the realm of possibilities.

Well the founders did want a 'well informed' electorate. The problem being now, most news medias have just become propaganda outlets.
