I've mentioned before how it's really annoying that IPs in the pool assigned and reassigned to cell phones as they move on and off the mobile network get blacklisted. Well, it's really annoying to get the BANNED for illegal activity message.
At least toggling airplane mode on and off gets me a new, unsullied IP. Still annoying.
I really think logged-on users should be exempted from the IP bans.
Take it up with your ISP. It's not our fault mobile networks share IP ranges, and we have a legal obligation to ban any IP engaged in illegal activity.
The system can not differentiate between a logged in member, or an anonymous poster when it comes to the IP, and even if it could that would make no difference if they are using an IP that's on the banned list. Banned is banned.
While we do understand the frustration this can cause, it really is beyond our control.
