I've seen a lot of misogynist liberals here too. Zagg posts on this thread about "why it's alright to hit women"; the fact that anyone, liberal or conservative, thinks like that just pisses me off to no end. Maybe they were never breast fed. Or just lack a soul.

I'm not understanding the "right-wing" label. I mean, if someone espouses "right-wing" views on something such as economic issues, but remains libertarian on other issues, does that make a person "right-wing" in your mind?
Also, does "right-wing" automatically mean racist and misogynist in your eyes? To my way of thinking, there's vile things said on both sides, why single out one side of the spectrum? I guess I'm just not understanding the rant here.

Yea, back when the Democrats weren't considered left-wing (they were split between the conservative Dixiecrats and the middle-of-the-road northern Democrats).
This bit is always mentioned by racists & right-wingers, as if the fact that the parties were polarized to their current Dem-left (well, center-right) and Rep-right (far-right) stances in the early 1960s wasn't thoroughly documented through history. This is junior-high history, ffs.
Also, the KKK has -always- touted itself as a conservative Christian group. They began supporting the Republicans during the divide over the Civil Rights Act. You don't think all those segregationist, maintain-the-status-quo, fundamentalist Christian Southerners were all left-wing progressives until magically changing to conservatives overnight when segregation ended, do you?

I suspect it's subconscious frustration of the misandric post-feminism society we live in being released. Men are sick of being portrayed as dumb, savage wifebeating rapists overcome by the valiant level-headed feminist role model on every level of media, and they know if they speak up they'll be dismissed and ignored at best, and publicly humiliated and accused of sexism at worst. Every time I see ANOTHER female on TV victimized by the evil, misogynist man I sure want to punch a woman.

well I don't disagree that there are problems with second wave feminism with the number one reason for women becoming murder victims remaining domestic violence, the on-going lack of access to wealth for women (women still make up more than 50% of the adults living in poverty) and with Rush Limbaugh STILL on the airwaves I'd hardly start getting out the violins and declaring this a post-feminist world...

Uninhibited, I absolutely believe women deserve to be treated like human beings :) They should be respected and loved, and shown affection in bed. I recently lost my virginity to a much older lesbian. I care about her very much; I've known her online for a couple years, but that was only our second meeting in real life. I treated her the way I think women should always be treated...I embraced her, and hugged her closely, and penetrated gently at first. It was an amazing experience. That is how it is when you care about the person you're having sex with. I hope all of my future sexual experiences are like that. Of course she is not my girlfriend, as she is gay, but she invited me to return again, as I gave her three orgasms that night. She said my personality made her feel safe to try that with me.
I always have trouble relating to my fellow straight men, as I am more of like Luke Skywalker than Han Solo. Unfortunately, anonymous, guys like tend to have more success with straight women. :( I am the opposite -- I'm a beta male, more Luke Skywalker than Han Solo, more Jean-Luc Piccard than James Kirk, more Superman than Batman. Mine is a quiet confidence, and I am contemplative and introverted, like many men who, like myself, grew up in Silicon Valley. Yet, unfortunately, every time a woman hears that I have feelings for her, either she just wants to be friends or she doesn't want me in her life at all. So I've never had a girlfriend.
The good news is that I did recently lose my virginity, at 39, to a much older lesbian...and she said it was largely because of my personality; it made her feel safe to do that with me. :)
I don't know if a fully realized romantic relationship is in my future....but I have discovered that sex with a close friend is an amazing experience. I hope more sex will follow and I hope I will only have sex with people I care about and with whom I form an emotional connection. She did invite me back as I was able to give her three orgasms. :)
