Black and white are colours.
Mexican is an ethnicity.
Caucasian is a reference to pigmentation.
Aferican-American, Asian-American, European-American, and other variants, are pseudo-ethnicities that don't mean shit.
Oh, and 2012 is NOT the end. The Mayan calendar never took daylight savings and leap years and leap days into account. If you make adjustments, then it is actually well past 2013 on THEIR calendar. We're safe.
