I confess my bf is making me braces that i can pop in and out. No not shitty tin foil and Elmer's glue. Actual BRACES. real brackets, ligature ties and wire that are used for actual braces on people. Sounds simple enough, but no. We've been working on it for a while and i thought i'd have them by now. It's driving me crazy because it's not like I can openly share this with real life friends. they'd think that we're sick. Thought i could share it here.
First he had me take a molding of my teeth. with that mold we made a cast. after about a week or so he melted down plastic sheets to vacuum form it to cast around my teeth casting, creating a retainer, a customized cup to fit MY teeth and my teeth only with a secure hold.
After that the fun part started (or so we thought) He glued each bracket on, placed the wire between each one, then struggled to get on each ligature tie (the colorful rubber bands that are wrapped around each brackets) He even let me choose the colors. I chose Periwinkle and baby pink ties. After a few ties were on he wasn't pleased with how the glue looked, as it dried foggy and white instead of clear. No matter how much i begged, he wouldn't let me just have that pair (yes top AND bottom braces) while he makes another; Claiming that he won't be happy at all unless they're perfect.
I MIGHT post pics of the process them of them in my mouth if i get his permission (i'm submissive)
Is this interesting at all to you guys? I thought it was pretty cool. I don't think I've EVER heard of people doing this, to this extent. Soon i will have legitimate looking braces.
Am i a good open-minded girlfriend?
