This film is supposed to carry on the legacy of a beloved show. Why should it bother me that the new casting of Daisy was a blonde? It's new mythology for a new generation. I honestly couldn't think of a good reason why Jessica Simpson COULDN'T be Daisy Duke. I realized it was just my previously established prejudice.

Okay, I don't know how many people even read these comments, but... here goes. I was wrong, and I want to admit it. When the Dukes of Hazzard movie came out, I was all onboard. However, the moment Jessica Simpson was introduced as Daisy Duke, I was really put off. I grew up on the DofH show, and that imprints certain things into your brain and memory. Therefore, to me, Daisy Duke was a brunette. Seeing the blonde reboot bothered me. Then I started thinking.... "Why?"
